To enable vehicle drivers and pedestrians to understand the special conditions on the road, to raise their awareness and to prepare for contingency measures, to inform vehicle drivers and pedestrians of special regulations on road compliance, prohibitions, restrictions, etc., and to indicate routes, directions, mileage, names of places, and public facilities, etc., so as to facilitate easy identification by vehicle drivers and pedestrians.
Construction Sign
When erected in the vicinity of a construction site, this sign is a diamond or rectangular shape with a black or white graphic on an orange background with black lettering and a thin black border, with reflective properties.
Prohibition of Restriction Sign
Prohibited sign can be categorized into the following three types depending on their functions:
(a) Compliance Sign: Indicating compliance.
(b) Prohibition Sign: Indicates prohibited matters.
(c) Restriction Sign: Indicates a restriction.
Warning Sign
A warning sign is a road traffic sign used to inform drivers or pedestrians of danger ahead. In most countries, warning signs are equilateral triangles with a white background and a thick red border.
Indicator Sign
Directional signs are used to provide clear information about the road conditions on the route, so that drivers and pedestrians can get the necessary instructions and guidance to reach their destination smoothly.
Auxiliary Sign
In addition to the three types of standard signs such as warning, prohibition, and directional signs, all other types of signs or placards that are established for the convenience of travelers and the promotion of traffic safety are collectively known as auxiliary signs.
They can be broadly categorized into the following two types:
1. Construction Signs: used in construction areas to guide vehicles to adjust their travel routes and avoid construction areas or any potential hazards.
2. Notice boards: Displaying specific information according to local traffic conditions and needs.
